Details

The Microtech Dirac takes the contours of the Halo, the size of the UTX-85 (just a bit smaller) and a top slide design and blends them together for a fantastic new every day carry auto from Microtech Knives. The double edge and top slide combination also make this Dirac fully ambidextrous, perfect for right or left-handed users! This version comes with standard hardware, Black handles and a Stonewashed M390 Double Edge blade.

Brand new directly from Microtech Knives, USA.

Blade: Equipped with a shimmering tumbled finish, the double edge blade has two razor sharp, plain cutting edges. The dagger-like blade is made from high performance, Bohler M390 stainless steel. The sub-3 inch blade features a double action opening and retracting mechanism. Simply move the thumb slide on the top of the handle up to deploy and down to retract. The top slide position also reduces the need for readjustment for operation. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear. The action is ultra smooth and fast.

Handle: Smooth and contoured black coated 6061-T6 aluminum delivers an ergonomic and comfortable feel in-hand as well as a visually appealing shape. Several sections of machine-grooved texturing around the outsides enhance traction in hand. The handle's construction is completed with Microtech's proprietary hardware, glass breaker end and pocket clip all in a matching gray finish. The clip is marked with individual serial number and date of production.

Bohler M390: Bohler M390 has become an extremely popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its extreme edge retention. M390 also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid problems by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
