Details

The Halo VI from Microtech is one of those iconic figures in the out the front auto realm. Based on the original Halo, Halo VI is a massive and powerful single action automatic. The Halo VI has undeniably attractive lines but this knife is all business as evidenced by the construction: Premium Bohler M390 Tanto blade and Aircraft grade alloy handles. Upgrades on the VI include a larger, textured firing button with integral safety and dual latches on the charging handle.

Brand new directly from Microtech Knives.

Blade: At nearly 4.5" long, the powerful Halo VI Tanto blade is made from high performance M390 stainless steel and has a two-tone black and satin finish. The Tanto blade has plenty of belly for slicing, a robust point for piercing and dual fullers for balance, durability and style. This straight edge blade fires via the oversize, textured button on the front of the handle that is equipped with an integral slide safety. The safety prevents unintentional deployment while still allowing for fast, single-handed operation. It's single action meaning it will need to be re-cocked after each deployment. Simply push the button on the handle, squeeze the dual tabs, fully extend the charging lever and slide it back into the handle.

Handle: Light and slender for its size, the aircraft alloy handle has been Mil-Spec Anodized black to compliment the blade. Jimping has been strategically placed in several areas around the handle to insure a solid grip on the otherwise smooth alloy surface. An oversize button unlocks the deployed blade and allows the charging handle to be drawn out of the handle. The charging handle is marked with the Microtech logo and production information. Dual latches on the charging handle help to seal the mechanism from external debris. The handle sports The Microtech 'Talon"' logo & proprietary hardware.

Bohler M390: Bohler M390 has become an extremely popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its extreme edge retention. M390 also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid problems by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
