The L.U.D.T. (Large Underwater Demolition Team) out the side automatic knife model from Microtech has been a favorite among Spec Ops and first responders for nearly 20 years. This version features a partially serrated, drop point blade in rugged stonewashed finished M390 and a grooved Black anodized aircraft grade aluminum handle.

Brand new, direct from Microtech Knives, USA.

Blade: The shape of the LUDT is all about utility offering just over three inches of cutting edge and a piercing tip. Great for everyday use this part serrated blade cuts nearly anything from webbing and rope to cardboard or food. Just over an inch of notching on the crowned spine creates a welcomed thumb ramp. The premium, M390 stainless steel comes with a rugged stonewashed finish that hides wear and looks great. Automatic deployment comes at a single push of the button. Press the button near the pivot to deploy the blade out the side of the handle. Press it in again and fold the blade back in to close. Action is reliable, smooth and fast.

Handle: Constructed of aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum creating lightweight dependability the handle is finished with a black hard anodization. A slightly notched finger choil below the pivot along with machined grooves and notches on the handle ensure a solid grip in any environment. Construction is completed with Microtech's Apocalyptic proprietary hardware, pocket clip and a small black lanyard. Each LUDT is individually serialized and dated on the front of the blade.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, stainless steel pocket clip.

Bohler M390: A popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its exceptional edge retention, M390 has a good corrosion resistance for minimal maintenance. Another great feature of this steel is the ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
