The Microtech Knives Troodon out the front automatic knife is a substantial tool while still retaining a compact size that can be easily carried every day. Elegant enough for dress carry, the Troodon is a fully capable cutting tool and similar to the bird-like dinosaur from the Campanian Age this Troodon is ready to strike. This version is equipped with a double full serrated, stonewashed double edge of CTS-XHP and a Black hard anodized aluminum handle.

Blade: A wide spear point blade which has been double ground and sharpened to a razor edge on both sides with dual fully serrated edges delivering aggressive slicing on all materials. American CTS-XHP blade steel was chosen for its corrosion resistance and exceptional edge retention with relatively easy sharpening. The fully stonewashed finish is rugged and hides wear well while looking great. Operating fast and smooth via a double action mechanism, simply press the side thumb slide up to open and back down to close.

Handle: Robust, hard anodized, aircraft-grade alloy offers just over 4.25 inches of handle, excluding the breaker, substantial enough for large hands without becoming cumbersome in the pocket. The knife is comfortable in the hand, with contoured edges, while wide sections of jimping are perfectly placed for a secure grip. Built with proprietary Microtech hardware construction is finished with an integrated glass breaker end and pocket clip.

CTS-XHP: An ultra-high-carbon 'stainless' steel that was developed to combine the corrosion resistance of 440C and wear resistance of D2. With good wear resistance and the ability to attain a high hardness, CTS XHP has edge retention somewhere between S30V and ZDP 189. An excellent choice for any knife that is going to see a lot of use.
