The Microtech Knives Troodon out the front automatic knife is a substantial tool while still retaining a compact size that can be easily carried every day. This knife is elegant enough for dress carry while being a fully capable cutting tool. The Troodon is named after a bird-like dinosaur from the Campanian Age and is ready to strike. This Signature Series version is equipped with a double edge blade of tumbled and DLC coated CTS-204P, black hard anodized frame, Carbon Fiber top and DLC coated hardware.

Blade: A wide spear point blade which has been double ground and sharpened to a razor edge on both sides sports dual plain edges delivering the clean cutting performance along the length of both edges. The American CTS-204P blade steel was chosen for high level of corrosion resistance as well as exceptional edge retention and relative ease of sharpening. Stylish and classy, the blade has a durable, black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) finish that hides wear from use. It is engaged via a dual action automatic mechanism. Simply press the side thumb slide up to open and then back down to close. Simple, fast and smooth.

Handle: Robust, hard anodized, aircraft-grade alloy topped with handsome Carbon Fiber offers just over 4.25 inches of handle, excluding the breaker, substantial enough for large hands without becoming cumbersome in the pocket. The knife is comfortable in the hand, with contoured edges, while wide sections of jimping are perfectly placed for a secure grip. It is built with proprietary DLC coated Microtech hardware, integrated glass breaker end and pocket clip.

Carries via a right hand, tip down pocket clip with production date and serial number.

CTS-204P: A highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless steel, CTS-204P has some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance available. CTS-204P is similar in performance to CPM-20CV and Bohler's M390.
