Details

The Microtech Knives Troodon out the front automatic knife is a substantial tool while still retaining a compact size that can be easily carried every day. This knife is elegant enough for dress carry while being a fully capable cutting tool. This Tactical version is equipped with a single edge, clip point blade of two-tone black Elmax, black hard anodized handle and black Tactical hardware. The Troodon is named after a bird-like dinosaur from the Campanian Age and is ready to strike.

Brand new item directly from Microtech Knives, USA.

Blade: A wide drop point blade is ground with a single, high height saber grind and sharpened to a razor edge delivering the clean cutting performance. The Elmax blade steel was chosen for high level of corrosion resistance as well as exceptional edge retention and relative ease of sharpening. The two-tone, black with satin flats, blade finish is discreet and classy. It is engaged via a dual action automatic mechanism. Simply press the side thumb slide up to open and then back down to close. Simple, fast and smooth.

Handle: Robust, black hard anodized, aircraft-grade alloy offers just over 4.25 inches of handle, excluding the breaker, substantial enough for large hands without becoming cumbersome in the pocket. The knife is comfortable in the hand, with contoured edges, while wide sections of jimping are perfectly placed for a secure grip. It is built with tactical black, proprietary Microtech hardware, integrated glass breaker end and pocket clip.

Carries via a right hand, tip down pocket clip with production date and serial number.

Bohler Elmax: Elmax has become an extremely popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its extreme edge retention. Elmax also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid corrosion (rust) by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Elmax has very similar performance to M390 and is used interchangeably by Microtech.
