Details

The Ultratech dual action out the front automatic knife from Microtech sets the standard for the category. With a sleek yet robust design, precision American made construction and premium materials the Ultratech is a perfect everyday carry companion. This version has a Merlot anodized contoured aluminum handle and stonewashed M390 Tanto blade.

Brand new directly from Microtech Knives, USA.

Blade: Equipped with a rugged and wear hiding stonewashed finish the sub-3.5 inch Tanto blade has a single, razor sharp, plain standard cutting edge. The Tanto blade has a robust point for piercing and is made from high performance Bohler M390 for exceptional corrosion and wear resistance. While it primarily hides wear from use the stonewashed finish is also less reflective for discreet use. Action is fast and smooth with the blade operating on a double action mechanism. To deploy simply move the thumb slide on the side of the handle up, reverse to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear.

Handle: Smooth, hard anodized Merlot 6061-T6 aluminum handles have contoured edges creating not only a comfortable feel in-hand but a smooth transition in and out of your pocket. Contouring the edge of the handle enhance the ergonomics and aesthetic appeal while reducing the weight for carry. There are several areas of machine-grooved texturing around the sides to improve traction. The handle's construction is completed with Microtech's proprietary hardware, glass breaker end and blasted pocket clip with individual serial number/date of production.

Bohler M390: Bohler M390 has become an extremely popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its extreme edge retention. M390 also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid problems by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
