The Microtech UTX-70 is 70% of the size of the standard Ultratech making this double action auto ideal for everyday carry. This "CA" version has a black contoured handle and stonewashed M390, double edge blade with a California legal sub-2 inch blade length.

Blade: Equipped with a rugged stonewashed finish, the double edge blade has dual plain cutting edges. Made from premium M390 stainless steel the dagger-like blade offers twice the cutting edge for the same length. Dual fullers offer added visual appeal while the fine point enhances piercing and control for fine work. The sub-2 inch blade features a double action mechanism for smooth and fast operation. Simply move the thumb slide on the side of the handle up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear.

Handle: Smooth, black coated 6061-T6 aluminum has rounded edges creating a comfortable feel in-hand and smooth transition in and out of your pocket. The UTX-70 is slimmer than the Ultratech or UTX-85 allowing it to be carried in a watch pocket or shirt pocket as well as via the clip. The handle's construction is completed with Microtech's proprietary hardware, glass breaker end and blasted pocket clip with individual serial number/date of production. 

Carries via a right hand, tip-down, stainless steel deep carry clip.

M390 also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid problems by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is the ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
