Based on the classic Ultratech platform, the Microtech UTX-70 is a scaled down version coming in at 70% of the length of the standard Ultratech with a thinner blade and handle making this double action auto ideal for everyday carry. The "CA" UTX-70 has a California legal sub-2" blade. This version has a black hard anodized aluminum handle and stonewashed M390 drop point blade.

Blade: The utilitarian single edge M390 drop point blade comes with rugged stonewashed grinds and subtly contrasting satin flats and spine for a visually appealing look. A sub-2 inch length makes it permissive to carry in restrictive areas while the plain cutting edge and fine tip handle a variety of tasks. Double action automatic operation is fast and smooth. Move the slide up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear.

Handle: Smooth, black hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum forms the tough, lightweight handle with rounded edges for a comfortable feel in-hand and smooth pocket transition. The slim, compact size is perfect for watch pocket or shirt pocket carry. Proprietary hardware, glass breaker end and pocket clip with individual serial number/date of production round out the construction.

Carries via a right-hand stainless steel pocket clip.
