Microtech UTX-85 Apocalyptic Plain Double Edge Distressed Black OTF Automatic Knife 232-10DBK

The UTX-85 (15% smaller than an Ultratech or 85% the size of one) double action out-the-front automatic knife from Microtech makes an even friendlier every day carry option. This version has a distressed black hard anodized aluminum handle and Apocalyptic CTS-204P double edge blade.

Blade: Equipped with a rugged, non-reflective blasted and tumbled "Apocalyptic" finish, the double edge blade has two razor sharp plain cutting edges. Premium, American CTS-204P stainless steel offers excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance for daily use. Action is reliably fast and smooth thanks to the double action automatic mechanism. Move the thumb slide up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear.

Handle: A smooth, black hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle has contoured edges for a comfortable feel in-hand and smooth transition in and out of your pocket. This version is factory distressed giving it a "worn in" look that also hides wear from use and carry. Several areas of machine-grooved texturing around the outsides enhance traction for added security. Construction is completed with Microtech's proprietary Apocalyptic hardware, glass breaker end and pocket clip with individual serial number, date of production and logo.

CTS-204P: A highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless tool steel, the steel contains a large volume of extremely hard vanadium carbides which provide excellent wear resistance. CTS-204P has some of the highest chromium content of a high-vanadium stainless steel currently available. The chromium-rich matrix provides outstanding corrosion resistance. Analogs to CTS-204P include CPM-20CV and Bohler M390.
