The UTX-85 (15% smaller than an Ultratech or 85% the size of one) dual action out the front automatic knife from Microtech makes an even friendlier every day carry option. This version has a black contoured handle and a stonewashed CTS-204P double edge blade with one plain and one fully serrated edge.

Blade: Equipped with a rugged stonewashed finish, the double edge blade has two razor sharp cutting edges: one clean slicing plain edge and one fully serrated for tough, fibrous materials. Premium, American CTS-204P stainless steel offers excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance for daily use. Action is reliably fast and smooth thanks to the double action automatic mechanism. Move the thumb slide up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear.

Handle: A smooth, black hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle has contoured edges for a comfortable feel in-hand and smooth transition in and out of your pocket. Several areas of machine-grooved texturing around the outsides enhance traction for added security. Construction is completed with Microtech's proprietary hardware, glass breaker end and pocket clip with individual serial number, date of production and logo.

CTS-204P: A highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless tool steel, the steel contains a large volume of extremely hard vanadium carbides which provide excellent wear resistance. CTS-204P has some of the highest chromium content of a high-vanadium stainless steel currently available. The chromium-rich matrix provides outstanding corrosion resistance. Analogs to CTS-204P include CPM-20CV and Bohler M390.
