At 15% smaller than the Ultratech (85% the size), the double action out-the-front automatic UTX-85 from Microtech makes an even friendlier everyday carry option than its full-sized cousin. Same great design and quality American production in a more compact package. The UTX-85 II features a Stepside modified handle milling for enhanced traction and weight reduction. This Signature Series version has a black handle and stonewashed double edge M390 blade.

Blade: Equipped with a stonewashed finish, the dagger edged blade has a dual razor sharp, plain edges for clean slicing utility and powerful piercing. The stonewashed finish hides wear while retaining rugged good looks with handsome satin flats. Double action automatic operation is fast, smooth, and reliable. Move the thumb slide up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear.

Handle: A hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle has chamfered edges for comfort paired with high traction milling and jimping for a secure grip even in adverse conditions. Gray proprietary hardware completes the construction, along with the clip and glass breaker end.

Carries via a right hand stainless steel pocket clip.

Bohler M390: Bohler M390 (analog to CPM-20CV and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high carbide content for some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance, while being relatively easy to sharpen. A popular choice for high-end production and custom knives. Relatively high carbide volume and coarse microstructure gives this steel lower toughness.
