The Microtech UTX-85 double action out-the-front automatic is a slim everyday carry option that offers the same durable construction and solid performance in a more compact package (15% smaller than an Ultratech or 85% the size). This Tactical version has a black contoured handle, matching hardware and black, fully serrated M390 Tanto blade.

Blade: The Tanto blade has a razor sharp fully serrated cutting edge to handle tough materials with ease. Durable, matte black Cerakote on the grinds is discreet in use, contrasting nicely with the classy satin flats and spine. Double action automatic operation is fast and smooth. Move the thumb slide up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both positions to reduce wear.

Handle: Smooth, black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum has contoured edges for comfort and smooth pocket transition. Strategic jimping around the outside edge enhances traction for a secure grip. Proprietary Tactical black hardware, glass breaker end and serialized pocket clip complete the construction.

Carries via a right hand, tip-down, stainless steel deep carry clip.

Bohler M390: Bohler M390 (analog to CPM-20CV and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high carbide content for some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance, while being relatively easy to sharpen. A popular choice for high-end production and custom knives. Relatively high carbide volume and coarse microstructure gives this steel lower toughness.
