The Mike Irie Custom Model 110 lightweight hunter is an ideal size for hunting, woodcraft or daily carry or as a mid-sized fixed blade for any collection. Mike Irie is renowned for his hand ground blades and his Custom Model 110 showcases his skill and attention to detail. This version comes with a hand rubbed satin CPM-154 stainless steel drop point blade and stabilized Spalted Maple wood handle scales.

Blade: A perfect hunter's blade, the utilitarian drop point has a robust tip, slicing shallow hollow grind and subtle recurve cutting edge. The drop point has a robust tip that is still fine enough for piercing and detail work. Coming in at about 7/8" wide, the blade is narrow enough for skinning tasks and durable enough for heavier work. CPM-154 provides a good balance of performance and is equipped with a hand rubbed satin finish for a classy, custom feel. Jimping at the spine delivers a solid thumb rest with enhanced traction while a subtle guard on the ricasso offers added safety.

Handle: Simple and ergonomic, the stabilized Spalted Maple wood scales are fully contoured for a hand filling handle that is comfortable in nearly any grip. The subtle guard, generous palm swell and birds beak pommel help secure the knife in your grip while still allowing for comfort and maneuverability for a variety of tasks. This piece comes with beautiful, stabilized Spalted Maple wood handles. Spalted Maple is maple wood with high contrast dark lines that are a product of fungus beginning to break down the wood. The processed is stopped while the wood is still structurally solid, creating a visually appealing and desirable product. Dual polished stainless steel tubes fix the handle and allow for lanyard attachment.

Sheath: Includes a hand stitched leather belt sheath for carry.

CPM-154: CPM-154 is a particle metallurgy version of 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process providing it with an increase in toughness and easy of finishing. CPM-154 takes a very fine edge and is highly corrosion resistant. Edge retention is going to be on-par with CPM S30V while being easier to resharpen. A great all-around blade steel.
