Details

The Mike Irie Custom Model 110 lightweight hunter is an ideal size for hunting, woodcraft or daily carry or as a mid-sized fixed blade for any collection. Mike Irie is renowned for his hand ground blades, and his Custom Model 110 showcases his skill and attention to detail. This version comes with a hand rubbed satin CPM-154 stainless steel spear point blade, dyed stabilized maple handle scales, and black linen Micarta bolsters.

Brand new, directly from Mike Irie.

Blade: A perfect hunter's blade, the hand rubbed satin CPM-154 spear point has a fine tip, slicing shallow hollow grind and subtle recurve cutting edge. The spear point swedge delivers a fine point for piercing and detail work. Coming in at under an inch wide, the blade is narrow enough for skinning tasks with good durability. Jimping at the spine delivers a solid thumb rest with enhanced traction, while a subtle guard on the ricasso offers added safety.

Handle: Simple and ergonomic, the stabilized maple wood scales and classy black linen Micarta bolsters are fully contoured for a hand filling handle that is comfortable in nearly any grip. A subtle guard, generous palm swell and bird's beak pommel help secure the knife in hand while still allowing for good maneuverability. This piece comes with stabilized dyed maple wood handles for a handsome look.

Carries via a stitched leather belt.

CPM-154: A particle metallurgy (PM) version of Crucible 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process. A great all-around blade steel, CPM-154 has D2 level edge retention, AEB-L level corrosion resistance and comparable toughness to other PM stainless steels with ease of sharpening/finishing.
