The Mike Irie Custom Sport 100 is a nimble little hunting knife perfect for bird, trout, caping and other small game tasks. Designed as a sporting blade, the knife still holds its own as a compact woodcraft or daily carry fixed blade in your collection. Mike Irie is renowned for his hand ground blades, and this custom showcases his skillful fit and finish. This version comes with a hand rubbed satin CPM-154 stainless steel blade and red jigged bone handle scales.

Blade: Coming in at roughly 7/8" wide, the drop point blade is narrow enough for skinning tasks and fine work while being durable enough for woodcraft thanks to the 3.5 mm blade stock. The CPM-154 stainless steel blade offers balanced performance and comes equipped with a handsome hand rubbed satin finish. A distal taper delivers a fine tip perfect for piercing and detail work, while the hollow grind slices with ease. Spine jimping near the tip provides added control when guiding the blade with the index finger.

Handle: Simple and ergonomic, the red jigged bone scales are subtly contoured for comfort with a small ramp at the ricasso and birds beak pommel for security in a variety of grips. Jigged bone has a handsome visual appeal with good durability, weather resistance and a tactile feel. A polished stainless steel pin and tube fix the handle and allow for lanyard attachment.

CPM-154: A particle metallurgy (PM) version of Crucible 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process. A great all-around blade steel, CPM-154 has D2 level edge retention, AEB-L level corrosion resistance and comparable toughness to other PM stainless steels with ease of sharpening/finishing.
