Details

The Mike Irie UC-2 (Urban Carry Model 2) is a medium sized fixed knife that can be carried everyday. The Harpoon Tanto blade is versatile in design making it suitable for hunting and outdoor use as well as defensive carry. The CPM-154 blade sports a hand rubbed satin finish, elevating the look. As with all of Mike's work, the knife has excellent fit and finish.

Brand new direct from Mike Irie, made in the USA.

Blade: The CPM-154 blade is a compound ground, harpoon tip, recurve Tanto that offers versatility in its function. The tip is full thickness with a saber grind for optimal durability in piercing tasks while delivers fine control via the forward edge for detail work. The hollow ground recurve edge behind the Tanto point will slice well and pulls material into the cutting edge for more efficiency in use. A false edge on the spine reduces weight enhancing balance in the hand.

handle: Green Canvas Micarta scales are secured to the full tang via a single stainless pin and a hollow tube which allows for lanyard attachment. Both sides have been polished and contoured to give the knife an attractive appearance. The ergonomically friendly handle curves down slightly and falls right into the palm of the hand. An index finger groove cut into the handle functions as a guard and, along with a jimped thumb ramp, keeps the hand from slipping forward or off of the handle.

Sheath: Three layer form fitted Kydex sheath has been riveted together to form an integral belt loop for carry. Open eyelets allow use of a mounting system or lashing to equipment. The front of the sheath has a carbon fiber texture for visual appeal.

CPM-154: CPM-154 is a particle metallurgy version of 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process providing it with an increase in toughness and easy of finishing. CPM-154 takes a very fine edge and is highly corrosion resistant. Edge retention is going to be on-par with CPM S30V while being easier to resharpen. A great all-around blade steel.
