MKM Mikita Root Anso Satin M390 Bronze Titanium Slip Joint Folder RT-TBR
Prolific Danish custom knife maker Jens Anso has a fondness for robust, utilitarian knives with great ergonomics. The MKM Root is no exception and delivers a highly functional design in a stylish package with excellent fit and finish and high performance materials. This is a truly modern slip joint design and is sure to be a favorite for anyone who wants or needs to carry a non-locking folder. This version comes with a satin finished M390 blade and stonewashed, bronze anodized titanium handles.
Brand new, direct from MKM Knives of Italy.
Blade: Delivered in a stylish satin finish, the Sheepsfoot M390 blade opens with a modern three-hole setup instead of a traditional nail nick. Snappy half-stop operation is smooth and reliable while offering added security. Fully flat ground, the 2.5 mm blade slices with ease while the Sheepsfoot retains enough tip for piercing and controlled detail work.
Handle: Two slabs of stonewashed, bronze anodized titanium house the blade and stainless steel back spring. Designed with comfort in mind, the edges are chamfered for a more contoured feel with milled grooves near the pivot for added traction and a "bolstered" look. Blue anodized pivot rings and an Anso-style lanyard loop on the back spring round out the construction.
This traditionally inspired knife has no pocket clip. Includes leather sheath with magnetic loop for belt or pocket carry.
Bohler M390: Bohler M390 has become an extremely popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its extreme edge retention. M390 also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid problems by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
