The Mora 511 Basic is a cornerstone knife in the Morakniv lineup. This Basic fixed blade knife comes with a high visibility orange polymer handle and an extremely sharp, scandi-ground carbon steel blade. The easy to clean ergonomic handle has an integrated guard for safety and carries via a black molded polymer sheath. Great for your pack, tackle box or tool shed.

Blade: The blade of the 511 is a simple, straight spine Scandi-ground blade of high carbon tool steel with a subtle clip at the point for enhanced piercing performance. Keep it well oiled to prevent corrosion and it will last for years to come. The spine comes rough from the factory but can easily be ground to 90 degrees for ferro rod striking. Comes scary sharp from the Mora factory in Sweden.

Handle: Mora has always been known for making comfortable handles and the 511 is no exception. A generous guard keeps your fingers off the razor sharp blade while the bird's beak at the pommel keeps the knife from slipping the other way. Subtle texturing provides added security. The polymer handle is nearly impervious to the elements, easy to clean and highly durable.

Sheath: Carries via a black polymer sheath with click retention, drain hole and integral clip. The button on the front can be utilized for a variety of carry options including piggy-backing multiple sheaths together for carrying several knives.

1095 High Carbon Tool Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
