The Morakniv Pathfinder has a distinctive, all-black look thanks to a durable DLC coated blade and black rubber over-molded handle. A long, extra thick blade and 90 degree spine edges make this a formidable outdoor tool especially for bushcraft and survival activities. This version comes with a Black DLC coated Carbon Steel Blade and MOLLE compatible black nylon sheath.

Blade: Finished in a durable, non-reflective, black Diamond-Like Carbon or DLC, the carbon steel blade is Scandi ground for good durability and optimal control in fine slicing or push cutting while offering good durability for batoning and light chopping. The 90-degree corners on the spine are perfect for scraping tinder and striking a ferro rod for fire starting while the long, clip point blade is functional for a variety of tasks and could even be pressed into a defensive role.

Handle: Dual polymer construction with a black rubber over-mold delivers a handle that is comfortable, secure and nearly impervious to the elements. An index finger groove and pronounced forward guard pair with the high traction over mold to prevent slippage onto the blade even in wet conditions. Despite the finger groove the overall handle is neutral and comfortable in multiple grip positions for added versatility. As the handle completely covers the blade tang the Pathfinder can be easily used in cold conditions without worry of exposure to bare metal.

Sheath: Carries via a MOLLE compatible heavy-duty nylon belt sheath.

C100 Carbon Steel: Simple, though popular carbon steel that is popular with knife makers as it is easy to machine. Typical hardness is in the 58-60HRC range though it can reach 64-65HRC. Comparable to 1095. Rusts easily without proper care.
