His modern interpretation of the classic Japanese utility knife, the Kiridashi, is a prime example. Simple, effective, and well-made. What more can you ask for? Oh yeah, it's made in the USA.

Blade: The 1/8" thick blade is made from O1 tool steel, a long-standing performer in the custom knife world, especially when heat treated to 63 HRC. The chisel ground edge provides a full inch of cutting length with a fine tip and added strength and control in fine tasks. The blade is finished in a heat treated, Distressed finish that will offer some protection against corrosion on this non-stainless steel. A hole at the end of the tang offers a lanyard attachment point to extend the working grip area.

Handle: A single solid piece of Pink G10 is mounted to one side of the knife with two black Allen head bolts. The scale and blade tang are chamfered to offer a surprisingly comfortable and secure grip on this diminutive cutting tool.

Sheath: Includes a custom molded Kydex sheath with eyelets for multiple carry options.

O1 Tool Steel: Popular as a forging steel O1 tool steel is used by custom and production makers alike. Good edge stability, wear resistance, and toughness, O1 can reach 65HRC and works well with refined edge at high hardness for smaller knives.
