Pena Knives X Series Mini Diesel Flipper Shred Carbon Fiber PVD Bolsters M390

The Pena Knives X-Series Mini Diesel is a production version of his custom, every day carry/tactical folder design. With great ergonomics, materials and deployment the Mini Diesel is tough to beat. This flipper version comes with PVD coated bolsters and clip, Shred Carbon Fiber scales, blue hardware and an M390 blade.

Blade: A just over 3" the blade of the Mini Diesel is equipped with a compound grind that deliver a strong, saber ground tip with top swedge for piercing along with a mid-height hollow grind that offers powerful slicing performance The M390 blade is finished with satin flats and grinds for a striking finish. A ceramic bearing pivot provides smooth and decisive deployment via the integral flipper tab.

Handle: Contoured and black PVD coated titanium forms the foundation of the Mini Diesel creating the integral bolsters when paired with elegant Shred Carbon Fiber overlays. The rear bolster/liner forms the lock which is equipped with a steel insert for smooth operation, longevity and reliability. The flipper tab of the blade doubles as an index finger guard for added security. A scalloped titanium backspacer protects the blade in the closed position and houses the inline lanyard pin. Construction is completed with Blue anodized titanium Torx Hardware.

Carries via single position titanium pocket clip for tip-up, right hand carry.

Bohler M390: Bohler M390 has become an extremely popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its extreme edge retention. M390 also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid problems by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
