The Protech Knives CalMigo 2245 is a California Legal automatic knife that is one of the lightest and stoutest automatic knives available. This "Tron" variant has a Rose Gold PVD coated, plain edge blade made from 154CM and Black Hard Anodized aluminum handles with milled "Tron" groove pattern.

Blade: The CalMigo comes with a California Legal, sub-2" blade made of American 154CM stainless steel. 154CM provides a great balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness making it an excellent choice for all around use. A handy drop point gives the CalMigo a utilitarian premise with fine point that can be used for detailed cutting tasks. The blade has a striking Rose Gold PVD satin finish and plain edge for excellent slicing performance. The blade deploys via a Rose Gold push button, operating the coil spring mechanism that is fast and smooth for easy one-handed operation. It also includes a slide safety for confident carry.

Handle: A thick, tapered handle made of Black 6061-T6 Hard Anodized aluminum keeps the CalMigo compact and lightweight while still providing plenty of grip for secure use. The finger groove and notched spine make for one comfortable grip. There is a handy lanyard cutout near the end.  This Gentleman's knife disappears in the pocket and is at home in a pair of dress pants as it is in jeans. The "Tron" variant has milled "machine pattern" grooves that add a futuristic style as well as added traction.

154CM: Crucible 154CM is an improved version of 440C with added molybdenum offering improved corrosion resistance and edge retention, as well as a higher level wear resistance.
