Blade: Paired with a razor sharp chisel grind, the Tanto point delivers high-level durability while still providing solid cutting ability. Made from American 154CM stainless steel, the unmarked “Operator” blade comes equipped with a durable, non-reflective black DLC coating. The chisel, mid-height saber grind offers a good mix of strength and performance that is a perfect fit with this tactical design. The blade deploys smooth and fast via a Tritium-inlaid glow push button operated coil spring mechanism.

Handle: Retaining the classic Emerson design, the handle frame is super tough 7075 aluminum with a black, Class III, military grade hard anodization. Exclusive to GPKnives, the standard aluminum top has been replaced with texture milled green canvas Micarta for an upgraded look and feel. Jimping from the thumb ramp extends down the spine of the handle for added traction and control. This handle is secure and comfortable in a variety of grips and keeps the overall weight under 4 ounces for ease of carry. Smooth, reliable and intuitive, the button lock mechanism delivers secure operation during use and has an inlaid glowing tritium vial for low light indexing.

Crucible 154CM: Originally developed as a stainless bearing steel, 154CM is an improved version of 440C with added molybdenum that offers improved resistance to pitting from corrosion, higher hardness for better edge retention and toughness similar to 440C. Similar to Hitachi ATS-34.
