Emerson and Protech have teamed up to deliver an American made automatic version of the tactical CQC-7 folder. Protech provides high-tech American production for affordability, performance, and precision construction. The Pro-Em CQC-7 auto delivers high speed automatic action and rugged aluminum construction to this popular Emerson design. This one off version features a matte gray blasted and tumbled Tanto blade, custom Americana Ridgeback crosscut G-Carta top and mosaic pin button inlay.

Blade: Made from 154CM stainless steel the chisel ground Tanto blade comes with a rugged blasted and tumbled finish that hides wear and is discreetly non-reflective in use. The Tanto has enhanced piercing strength, while the mid-height saber and chisel grind pair to deliver excellent slicing ability and ease of sharpening. A button operated coil spring automatic mechanism provides snappy, one-hand deployment.

Handle: The classic Emerson handle design comes in two parts: black hard anodized aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum for the frame and striking custom G-Carta crosscut Micarta for the top. Secure and comfortable in a variety of grip positions, the handle is lightweight to carry. Smooth and reliable, the button lock mechanism is rock solid for secure use.

Carries via a right-hand stainless steel Emerson pocket clip.

Crucible 154CM: Originally developed as a stainless bearing steel, 154CM is an improved version of 440C with added molybdenum that offers improved resistance to pitting from corrosion, higher hardness for better edge retention and toughness similar to 440C. Similar to Hitachi ATS-34.
