Emerson and Protech have teamed up to deliver an American made automatic version of the tactical CQC-7 folder. Protech provides high-tech American production for affordability, performance, and precision construction. The Pro-Em CQC-7 auto delivers high speed automatic action and rugged aluminum construction to this popular Emerson design. This limited USN 2021 Gathering GXII Operator Series version comes in an externally sterile all black finish with a Tritium inlaid push button. One of a 50 piece run.

Blade: Made from 154CM stainless steel the chisel ground Tanto blade comes with a durable, corrosion resistant and non-reflective black DLC coating for discreet operation. The Tanto has enhanced piercing strength, while the mid-height saber and chisel grind pair to deliver excellent slicing ability and ease of sharpening. A button operated coil spring automatic mechanism provides snappy, one-hand deployment.

Handle: The classic Emerson handle design comes in aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum with a durable, black hard anodized finish and matching hardware. Secure and comfortable in a variety of grip positions, the handle is very lightweight and has no external markings. Additionally, this Operator Series knife has a rock solid button lock mechanism with Tritium insert for low-light indexing. The interior of the frame comes marked “GXII # of 50”.

Carries via a right-hand stainless steel Emerson pocket clip.

Crucible 154CM: Originally developed as a stainless bearing steel, 154CM is an improved version of 440C with added molybdenum that offers improved resistance to pitting from corrosion, higher hardness for better edge retention and toughness similar to 440C. Similar to Hitachi ATS-34.
