This version comes with a two-tone satin M390 blade, titanium handles with integral bolsters, carbon fiber overlay scales and custom anodized hardware.

Blade: The M390 blade of the Augustus is a serious tactical performer: a beefy, compound ground, recurve Tanto with a harpoon swedge. It is made from two-tone satin finished Bohler M390 for high-end performance and the blade design provides best in class for its category. The flat ground tip and harpoon swedge provide durability and piercing performance while the hollow ground recurve edge offer razor-like slicing ability. The front flat shows the Reate logo and the back the Lambert spider logo. A double row ceramic bearing pivot give the blade unparalleled smoothness and speed in deployment via the flipper tab.

Handle: Contoured and fine media blasted titanium forms the foundation of the Augustus including the integral bolsters that provide a nice contrast to the striking carbon fiber overlays. The rear bolster/liner forms the lock which is equipped with a hardened steel insert for smooth, reliable operation for the life of the knife. A floating titanium backspacer is fit on bronze anodized pillars. The knife is finished with custom anodized titanium hardware for a truly custom field.

Carries via a 3D machined, tip-up, right hand, titanium pocket clip.

Bohler M390: Bohler M390 has become an extremely popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its extreme edge retention. M390 also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid problems by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
