Reate Knives Crossroads Kirby Lambert Design M390 Carbon Fiber Titanium Bolster Liner Lock Flipper Prototype
The Reate Crossroads is based directly on Canadian custom maker Kirby Lambert's custom design of the same name. Executed with the precision that Reate has built its reputation on this is a great option to get a high quality, custom Lambert design at a production price. The blade is two-tone satin M390 riding on ceramic bearing and the handles are titanium with integral bolsters, carbon fiber scales and custom anodized hardware.
Brand new directly from Reate Knives.
The Blade: The M390 blade of the Crossroad is tactical elegance with a two-tone satin finish, high height hollow grind, pronounced swedge and clip point. The blade has piercing and slicing performance to spare and rides out fast and smooth on the ceramic bearing pivot thanks to the generous flipper tab and perfectly tuned ceramic detent ball. The front flat shows the Reate logo and the back the Lambert spider logo.
The Handle: Contoured and fine media blasted titanium forms the foundation of the Crossroad creating the integral bolsters when paired with handsome carbon fiber overlays. The rear bolster/liner forms the lock which is equipped with a steel insert for smooth operation, longevity and reliability. A floating titanium backspacer is fit on bronze anodized pillars which match the custom anodized titanium construction hardware. The knife carries via a 3D machined tip-up, right hand, titanium pocket clip.
Includes a Reate padded zipper pouch for carry and storage along with patch, extra hardware, microfiber cloth and bag.
M390: Bohler M390 has become an extremely popular choice for high-end knives thanks to its extreme edge retention and corrosion resistance. This means lots of cutting before sharpening and "wipe and go" maintainence. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
