The Reate IRON-X takes the two versions of the original Iron frame lock and brings them together in a new and improved version. Combining both thumb stud and flipper deployment, the X also adds Micarta inlays to the rear frame for enhanced aesthetics and traction. All the robust utility and sweep lines of the original are retained. This version has a satin finished M390 blade and bead blasted titanium handles with brown canvas Micarta inlays.

Blade: The broad spear point blade rides smooth on ceramic bearing pivot with decisive deployment via the index flipper or milled thumb studs. Rear Micarta inlays prevent pressure on the lock for more reliable deployment by either method. Satin finished M390 comes with a high saber grind for balanced slicing performance and strength with a handsome satin finish for a classy look.

Handle: The sweeping handle consists of dual contoured titanium slabs inlaid with Micarta for traction and style joined by a partial back spacer. Offering plenty of visual appeal, the handle is comfortable in extended use and offers a secure grip. An integral frame lock equipped with a steel lock face insert/over travel stop provides solid, secure lock up and smooth operation.

Carries via a right hand milled titanium pocket clip.

Bohler M390: Bohler M390 (analog to CPM-20CV and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high level edge retention and corrosion resistance. A popular choice for high-end production and custom knives, M390 is relatively easy to sharpen, with toughness on par with 440C/154CM.
