This more compact version of the Horizon D model is a precision machined EDC powerhouse with the same level of quality and high-end materials that have give Reate Knives its status as one of the best production knife companies. The Blade: The high height saber ground blade is made from beautifully Satin Finished M390. Bohler's M390 is some of the highest performance blade steel on the market today with exceptionally high performance in edge retention and corrosion resistance. Despite the high wear resistance of this steel it has been found easy to sharpen to a razor like edge. The drop point blade exhibits a nearly full length swedge which tapers gently toward a fine yet robust tip. Riding on a multi-row black ceramic ball bearing pivot the blade deploys fast and smooth with a hydraulic feel that gives the Mini Horizon-D a custom quality.

The Handle: The Mini Horizon D has a precision 3D machined titanium frame lock construction. A replaceable hardened steel lock face insert gives smooth and reliable lock operation and also acts as over-travel prevention. Internal milling of the titanium handles reduces weight and gives the knife excellent balance in hand. The contoured handle has a handsome blue anodized finish that highlights the carbon fiber inlay. The combination provides a high-end look and feel to Mini Horizon D. The pocket clip is set up for right hand, tip-up only carry.

The Pouch: Includes a Nylon zipper pouch with fleece soft and inside pocket. Reate Knives has been stitched on the front side of the pouch for stylish carry or safe keeping.
