The Stockman is believed to be a scaled-down version of the Cattleman pattern and shares similarities in the design. The Medium Stockman is the second largest of this pattern and comes with a main clip point blade and two auxiliary blades. This Remington Heritage Series version comes with hollow saber ground 420J2 blades, wood covers and nickel silver bolsters.

Blades: The 420J2 stainless steel blades are finished in fine satin and are each equipped with a generous nail nick for opening. This version comes with the traditional Stockman Trio: a long clip point main blade, with a Spey and Sheepsfoot blade as a backup. All three come with a hollow saber grind for optimal slicing performance and durability.
Handle: Polished Nickel Silver bolsters frame warm, Wood covers that are partially milled with a diamond texture offering a comfortable, secure grip and visual appeal. The covers are fitted with stainless pins to brass liners and adorned with the Remington "R" shield on the front. The sturdy back springs offer simple, smooth slip joint operation.
420J2 Stainless Steel: Highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel. Moderate edge retention with good toughness and ease of sharpening.
