Generation 2 Digital Camo Eklipse Tanto Flipper #055 from Rick Hinderer Knives sporting a Black G10 handle scale and premium CPM 20CV blade steel. This second gen has a larger overall frame than the first gen allowing for a wider variety of blade styles. This one, in particular, is ground to a Tanto style razor sharp with a wicked Digi Cam Finish.

The Blade: 3.5 inch tanto-styled perfect for straight tactical and penetrating tasks. The textured digital camouflage on the 20CV is simply badass with looks you can feel. It operates via two thumb studs or integral flipper tab on Rick's own 17-4PH state-of-the-art pivot system creating clean, smooth function over the life of the knife. Flipping action is quite easy and smooth, however a bit of wrist action may be required. An upper swedged harpoon point really sets this blade off and about a half an inch of jimping on the spine makes the perfect thumb rest. Awesome unique blade finishing here that could only come from Hinderer. 

The Handle: The same Gen 1 stylings you love on just a bit larger platform. The finger grooves, shape and texturing fit the hand like a glove. It's a harmoniously ergonomic experience designed with comfort in mind. This version is dressed in black G10 secured to a titanium liner with a Battle Blue digi cam titanium frame locker on the back. All the standard Hinderer features are present from the Lockbar Stabilizer to open construction and a Ti pocket clip that can be flipped to tip up carry. #055 is engraved just below the lockbar cutout. 

The Eklipse Gen 2 is an outstanding package for the first responder, tactical operator or 9-5er.

About CPM-20CV: A highly wear resistant, powder metallurgy stainless tool steel, the steel contains a large volume of extremely hard vanadium carbides which provide excellent wear resistance. CPM-20CV contains the highest amount of chromium of any high-vanadium stainless steel currently available. The chromium-rich matrix provides outstanding corrosion resistance.
