Details
The Robert David LaGuiole Slip Joint Folder is crafted in France and features a 12C27 Sandvik stainless steel blade and smooth olive wood handle. LaGuiole is a generic term for the knife styling also known traditionally as a shepherd's knife with deep roots traced from the regions of southern Spain and France. The Robert David LaGuiole folder has many traditionally recognized features of the shepherd's knife, including the iconic bee/fly embelishment on the spine and the 6 pin cross on the handle. High quality construction of this piece is very evident starting with a slip joint blade made from 12C27 Sandvik stainless steel that has been satin finished and housed within satin stainless steel liners. Olive wood handles have been pinned to the liners while brushed stainless steel bolsters accent each end of the. File work along the spine is the final added touch.
