The RUIKE D191 is designed to exceed users' expectations of 8Cr13MoV blade steel knives. RUIKE utilizes a specialized cryogenic treatment giving the steel with better performance properties. This full-size, budget friendly folder deploys on a roller bearing washer pivot for buttery smooth blade deployment while the coarse G10 front scale and stainless steel frame lock contribute a high traction, rock solid frame work. While this knife is made to be a workhorse it is has the clean style an aesthetic appeal RUIKE presents in its designs.

Blade: The blade is made from cryo treated 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a stonewashed finish and thin, full height flat grind. There is a subtle clip point for enhanced piercing while the trapezoidal spine swedge gives some aesthetic appeal. The sub-4" blade supplies plenty of edge for slicing and rides on a roller bearing washer pivot for fast, smooth deployment.

Handle: The open back construction makes for easy cleaning and maintenance while the coarse black G10 front scale provides plenty of traction and the steel frame lock gives the knife some heft while delivering secure lockup and flawless operation. Scallops on the lock bar make for easy disengagement and a generous hole is provided for lanyard attachment.

8Cr13MoV: Similar to Japanese AUS-8, 8Cr13MoV is a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel with an excellent balance of toughness and strength. It offers good corrosion resistance and is capable of acquiring a razor sharp edge. Edge holding is significantly lower than S30V but close to 440C. Sharpening should be a breeze.
