Compact carry is the definition of the Serge Panchenko Coin Claw Gen 2 from Serge Knife Co. This production of his custom design offers a compact, detent slip joint that folds neatly into the size of a large coin for wear and carry. A sub-inch, M390 Hawkbill blade opens smoothly via a titanium thumb stud for one hand operation. This Blade Show 2021 version comes with an acid washed finish blade and stonewashed blue anodized titanium handle with skull and crossbones laser etching.

Blade: The chisel ground Hawkbill blade is made from high performance Bohler M390 stainless steel delivering excellent edge retention and minimal maintenance ideal for daily carry and use. The chisel saber grind offers solid durability, making this a highly utilitarian design, while providing razor like cutting performance. The micro bearing pivot is smooth for easy one hand operation. A compact size and non-locking design make this an ideal choice for urban or office carry.

Handle: A slab of titanium supports the blade and single scale and forms the sprung detent bar for the detent slip joint mechanism. The front scale has milled edges for comfort and traction, with a hole exposing the Serge Knife Co logo milled on the rear slab. The thumb stud and pivot cap are finished in the same tumbled blue anodized finish and the scale and slab, while the later are both etched with matte gray skull and crossbones for added style. The knife blade folds flush to the slab for secure carry either as a "coin" or as a pendant.

Bohler M390: Bohler M390 (analog to CPM-20CV and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high carbide content for some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance while being relatively easy to sharpen. A popular choice for high-end production and custom knives. Relatively high carbide volume and coarse microstructure gives this steel lower toughness.
