The Tanto #2 Front Flipper is a true custom knife. Sergey makes each piece without the use of a CNC or water jet machine doing all the work in his shop by hand. Every part of the process, from the heat treating of the blade to the manufacturing of parts, is done manually. The Tanto #2 Front Flipper has a two-tone satin finished CPM MagnaCut Tanto blade and hand rubbed satin titanium handles with black Timascus inlays.

Blade: The high-performance CPM MagnaCut Tanto blade comes with a handsome two-tone satin finish, strong flat ground tip and slicing hollow ground primary edge. The blade is robust and rides smooth on a ceramic bearing pivot with ambidextrous front flipper deployment as well as a stepped thumb stud.

Handle: Dual slabs of titanium and a jimped knocker back spacer form the handle with chamfered edges for comfort and a handsome hand rubbed satin finish. The handle has plenty of real estate for large hands and comes equipped with visually appealing black Timascus inlays for added style. A hardened D2 tool steel lock face and ceramic detent give the integral frame lock smooth, reliable operation with rock solid lock up. Sergey engraves his signature and serial number inside the back spacer.

CPM-MagnaCut: Developed by metallurgist Larrin Thomas (Knife Steel Nerds) MagnaCut is a powder metallurgy steel designed to deliver balanced high-performance with high hardness (up to 65 Rc), similar toughness to CPM-4V, and corrosion resistance better than M390, similar to LC200N. Sharpening is relatively easy, between CPM-154 and S35VN/S45VN. For an all around steel, Magnacut is tough to beat.
