The Return of the King | Aragorn, Crowned as King Elessar Telcontar

From Shire Post Mint

This coronation coin, or Crown, was minted in Gondor to celebrate the coronation of Aragorn as King Elessar Telcontar. The obverse shows King Telcontar riding a horse holding a flag with the White Tree of Gondor in relief. Also celebrating his union with the Elf Arwen the coin is inscribed "Elessar, Arwen, Gondor" in Tengwar (Elven script).

On the reverse are brothers Isildur and Anárion standing on Andúril (Flame of the West in Quenya), Aragorn’s sword forged from the shards of Narsil, holding a shield with the White Tree. Below it are the Sevens Stones Palantíri and the words, "King Star" and "Year One". Above the brothers are the seven stars of the House of Elendil.

Minting process

Treated to look as if it has been handled and circulated, this process is done by hand, and it is both an art and a science, coloring and patinas will vary. No two are exactly the same.

Coins are struck one at a time in the USA using antique machinery and traditional coining techniques. A colorful description is included with history and facts about the coin.
