Brand new directly from Smith & Sons, proudly Made in the USA.
Blade: Full tang, CPM D2 tool steel comes in a slim clip point profile that is refined for detail work, every day tasks or for use as a bird and trout knife. CPM D2 is reasonably tough and highly wear resistant providing great edge retention in this fully flat ground blade. The blade sports the Smith & Sons "Original Patina" finish on the flats and satin on the spine. A subtle taper to the point leaves plenty of durability while offering great piercing performance.
Handle: Striking Coconut Fiber Micarta handle scales are attached with flared brass pins for a very secure construction. The scales are shaped and contoured for a great and comfortable in-hand feel while still being comfortable in a variety of grips. A subtle index finger cutout offers added security. The included leather lanyard adds to the length of grip and helps draw the knife from the sheath.
Sheath: Includes a Brown leather belt pouch sheath set up for right hand carry.
CPM D2: Standard ingot D2 has been used since WW II and is a semi-stainless tool steel with good corrosion resistance and edge retention. CPM D2 is cleaner, with a more refined grain structure and better strength compared to ordinary D2.
