Details
The Mudbug Lockback folder from Smith & Sons is a high quality working tool built with pride in the USA by Great Eastern Cutlery. Based on the traditional Large Sodbuster pattern, a Mudbug offers plenty of knife no matter the size of the user's hand. It ships with a Smith & Sons handmade leather sheath for belt carry.
The Dark Natural Micarta Mudbug work knife is brand new directly from Smith & Sons Knife Co.
The Blade: This home-on-the-ranch worker features a trusty lock back mechanism for secure cutting. It's crafted with an excellent overall utility-styled blade done in a long drop point/skinner shape with a machined satin finish and smooth operation (no half stop). The Mudbug has a little over half an inch nail nick pull opener groove in the blade.
The Handle: Contoured, durable dark natural linen micarta handle scales have been pinned to steel liners with a single brass pin, lanyard tube and reinforced birdseye steel pivot. The micarta is chamfered for a comfortable feel in-hand while the natural dark coloring hits the sweet spot. Butt end of the handle curves downward to better grasp your grip.
At just over three ounces, the full sized Mudbug brings plenty to the table without weighing you down. Also includes a small leather lanyard with Smith & Sons box, card and wax paper.
