SOG Pentagon FX Covert Dagger Blackout S35VN G10 Fixed Blade 17-61-03-57

Based on the original SOG Pentagon dagger, the Pentagon FX gets a premium upgrade in materials while retaining the popular dagger design that has made this the choice of military and uniformed professionals the world over. The Pentagon FX Covert offers this same premium design in a smaller more concealable package. This "Blackout" version comes with a black TiNi CPM-S35VN blade and matching G10 handles.

Blade: A classic, symmetrical double edge dagger profile is delivered in black titanium nitride coated S35VN for balanced performance, good corrosion resistance and a discreetly non-reflective finish. A sub-3.5 inch blade makes the Covert easy to carry discreetly and more maneuverable in close quarters. Dual fullers add aesthetic appeal, while the dual cutting edges and fine point make this an effective combat tool.

Handle: The full tang construction supports removable G10 composite handles that are milled for comfort and traction in the hand. Dual guards enhance safety during serious use, while the symmetrical design allows the knife to be used in any grip or blade orientation. While offering a full sized handle, the Covert is small enough for boot carry. A generous hole is provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a GFN sheath with adjustable tension and Universal Mounting System.

SOG UMS: SOG's Universal Mounting System allows for multiple carry options. Includes the UMS J-style metal belt clip. Other accessories sold sepetately.

CPM-S35VN: A modified version of S30V designed for improved toughness over and easier machining and polish. Toughness is improved roughly 15-20%, with a slight decrease in wear resistance (edge retention). Corrosion resistance is also lightly higher, close to AISI 420. S35VN is a well-balanced steel for daily use.
