The SOG Pentagon is a lightweight, full sized tactical dagger that makes for an effective and highly capable backup knife. Easy to carry thanks to the lightweight design, the knife is fast and maneuverable while being comfortable and secure in the hand. Functional for a variety of cutting tasks the double edge dagger blade is equipped with one plain edge and one fully serrated edge, both always at the ready. Aggressively checkered Kraton handles deliver plenty of traction with a subtle dual guard swell and a large jimped ricasso to prevent slipping onto the cutting edge. This version comes with a black handle and a satin finished AUS-8 blade.

Blade: The symmetrical dagger blade is finished with a high performance satin and sharpened on both sides: one plain edge for clean slicing and one serrated edge for tough, fibrous materials. Distal tapered, the blade ends in a fine piercing point for good penetration while the large ricasso is jimped to allow for a closer grip for controlled work as well as providing an added layer of safety.

Handle: Durable and weather resistant, the black Kraton polymer handle is molded with aggressive diamond checkering for excellent traction and swells toward the pommel for a secure grip. A generous swell to the forward guard aids in preventing unintentional contact with the edge while the neutral design makes the handle fast to transition and comfortable in multiple grip positions.

Carries via a black Ballistic Nylon belt sheath with snap closure and accessory pouch.

Japanese AUS-8A Stainless Steel: a low carbon, high chromium stainless steel offers excellent balance of performance: it has good toughness, corrosion resistance and sharpening response with similar edge retention to 440C.
