Inspired by the classic SOG Pentagon Dagger fixed blade, the Pentagon XR combines the classic spear point profile blade with the bombproof ambidextrous XR lock for a rugged, purpose built folding knife. An excellent choice for everyday tactical carry the Pentagon XR LTE utilizes carbon fiber liners for pronounced weight reduction (nearly 35%) while retaining a rock solid feel. This version has a black TiNi coated CTS-XHP blade and blue G10 handle scales.

Blade: The symmetrical dagger grind, single edge with a partially sharpened false edge tip, affords the user exceptional piercing performance while offering good durability. The non-reflective TiNi coating enhances corrosion resistance and allows for discreet use while the plain edge gives clean slicing for practical utility. The blade rides on a ball bearing pivot for smooth operation and decisive ambidextrous deployment via the dual thumb studs, XR lock or flipper tab.

Handle: Tough, lightweight, nested carbon fiber liners provide a rigid, semi open back construction for a solid feel in hand. Symmetrically designed with strategic jimping for added traction, the G10 scales are contoured for comfort with an index finger cutout that pairs with the flipper tab guard for added safety in piercing tasks. The XR Lock is solid, reliable, and easy to operate in any conditions.

CTS-XHP: An ultra-high-carbon steel that was developed to combine the corrosion resistance of 440C and hardness of D2. It offers good hardness with toughness-edge retention balance, both being better than S35VN with easier sharpening. Corrosion resistance is closer to 3V than 440C, making it more of a semi-stainless.

XR Lock: An ambidextrous bar style lock, the XR Lock has been tested to withstand up to 1,500 pounds of force for rock solid reliability and secure use with easy, ambidextrous operation.
