SOG Pillar Two-Tone S35VN Black Canvas Micarta USA Fixed Blade Field Knife UF1001-BX

The USA-made SOG Pillar is large format, high performance, full tang fixed blade based around a CPM S35VN stainless steel blade. A workhorse blade built to handle any task the Pillar. The canvas Micarta handle offers superior grip in wet or dry conditions and looks better the more it is used. This version comes with a black canvas Micarta handle and a stonewashed and satin CPM-S35VN blade.

Blade: Stonewashed and then satin finished on the grinds and swedge, the CPM S35VN blade is constructed with a full tang and offers a good balance of high-end performance. A high saber grind offers good durability and cutting ability while the Bowie-style clip point delivers solid piercing. The forward finger choil paired with jimping on the spine delivers a secure grip for controlled work.

Handle: Black canvas Micarta handle scales are attached to the full tang of the blade with stainless steel hardware and offer rugged durability and secure traction in wet or dry conditions. Milled scallops further enhance traction while forward finger guard prevents unwanted contact with the edge. An exposed portion of the tang at the pommel can be used for striking and has a milled hole for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a Kydex sheath with an adjustable low-profile, locking Tek-Lok belt mount.

CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V and the adjusted chemistry makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
