Built on the framework of the TAC XR, the SOG Vision XR delivers a more streamlined tactical design with the same robust, fast deploying XR-Lock platform and a high-performance CTS-XHP Tanto blade. Ball bearing pivot flipper deployment is fast, smooth, and versatile: XR Lock, thumb studs or kick flipper, all ambidextrous. Manual deployment allows for greater freedom to carry while maintaining a robust construction popular with a variety of users. This LTE version features lightweight carbon fiber liners, black G10 scales and a graphite gray PVD coated premium XHP stainless steel blade.

Blade: A robust high saber grind and Tanto point deliver solid durability and performance on the CTS-XHP blade finished in a non-reflective titanium nitride (TiNi) PVD coating for enhanced corrosion resistance. Ambidextrous deployment is fast and smooth thanks to the ball bearing pivot for fast access to the blade when seconds count. The index flipper guard pairs with jimping on the spine for added security in use.

Handle: Strong, ultralight carbon fiber liners support coarse G10 handle scales for a high traction handle that is secure and comfortable. The handle houses the robust XR lock which can withstand up to 1500 pounds of force while being smooth and easy in operation. The streamlined design of the handle allows for comfort in multiple grips and carries well in the pocket.

CTS-XHP: An ultra-high-carbon steel that was developed to combine the corrosion resistance of 440C and hardness of D2. It offers good hardness with toughness-edge retention balance, both being better than S35VN with easier sharpening. Corrosion resistance is closer to 3V than 440C, making it more of a semi-stainless.
