Spartan Harsey Folder Special Edition Bronze Green Oculus Black PVD S35VN

This Overall 2016 American Made Knife of the Year award winner Spartan Harsey Folder now available in this 2019 special edition "Oculus" graphic. It features a black PVD DLC coated blade plus some very cool engravings: A highly detailed, deep engraved watch, eye, and compass in variegated green over bronze anodized finish. This collaborative effort features Bill Harsey's signature styling combined with premium materials and Spartan's precision fit & finish. Mid-large in size, the folder is very comfortable in-hand and ready for hard use.

Blade: Traditional drop point style CPM-S35VN stainless steel blade has been PVD coated with Black Diamond-Like Carbon or DLC that is durable, discreet and corrosion resistant. Dual green anodized titanium thumb studs for make opening from either side a breeze. Bronze washers construction at the pivot offer smooth operation of the blade while aggressive jimping on the thumb ramp offers added traction and a point for indexing.

Handle:  Ergonomic handles have been constructed from 6AL4V titanium and finished with variegated green over bronze anodization . Both sides of the handle feature deep engraved graphics of a clock, the Eye of Providence and a compass rose along with a Spartan engraved clip insert. Green anodized barrel spacers and handle screws and a Black DLC coated pivot bring the two pieces together. The back titanium slab forms an integral frame lock mechanism for reliable lock-up in hard use conditions with internal lock-bar stabilizer.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up, titanium Spartan Arrow pocket clip.

CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V. The inclusion of Niobium allows for the formation of niobium carbides along with vanadium and chromium carbides. Substituting niobium carbides for some of the vanadium carbides makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
