Spartan Harsey Folder Special Edition Blue Kraken Stonewashed S35VN

This Overall 2016 American Made Knife of the Year award winner Spartan Harsey Folder now available in this special edition "Kraken" graphic. This version features a stonewashed S35VN blade with an amazing engraved handle: a Kraken on the sea with a clipper ship engraved with blue anodization on a field of satin titanium. This collaborative effort features Bill Harsey's signature styling combined with premium materials and Spartan's precision fit & finish. Mid-large in size, the folder is very comfortable in-hand and ready for hard use.

Blade: Traditional drop point style CPM-S35VN stainless steel blade has has dual anodized titanium thumb studs making opening from either side a breeze. The heavy stonewashed finish is rugged and hides wear from heavy use very well. Bronze washers construction at pivot delivers smooth opening and closing of the blade. Jimping along the thumb ramp adds traction for serious use. The blade is visually appealing while offering modern performance in this custom tactical folder.

Handle:  Ergonomic handles have been constructed from 6AL4V titanium and satin finished with anodized blue engraving and edges. The show side has a Kraken, clipper ship and ocean waves engraved on the front along with a "Spartan" engraved clip insert, all anodized blue. Matching anodized titanium barrel spacers, hardware and satin finished oversize pivot bring the two pieces together. The back titanium slab forms an integral frame lock mechanism for reliable lock-up in hard use conditions with internal lock-bar stabilizer.

CPM-S35VN: Designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V, S35VN substitutes niobium for vanadium delivering an increase in toughness of about 15-20% with no appreciable loss of wear resistance. Increased toughness means better resistance to edge chipping. Corrosion resistance is on par with S30V.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up, anodized titanium pocket clip with Spartan Arrow embellishment.
