Designed by Tu Lam, the Spartan Ronin Shinto is a purpose built fixed blade designed to be a versatile tool for field craft and martial use. Shinto means "The practice of establishing a connection between the ways of the old and the ways of the new" and the Spartan Ronin Shinto blends traditional design elements with modern materials and construction. This version comes with an FDE coated CPM-S45VN blade, black canvas Micarta handle scales and a tan nylon sheath.

Blade: The recurve spear point blade has a mid-height saber grind with a tapered top swedge delivering a strong tip for piercing with balanced cutting performance and durability. The FDE ZrN (Zirconium Nitride) coating leaves a highly wear resistant finish on the S45VN blade that improves corrosion resistance and is discreetly non-reflective. An index choil offers superior control while the forward weighted blade enhances chopping power.

Handle: The full tang extends through two chamfered and machine-textured canvas Micarta handle scales. The handles deliver a comfortable and ergonomic platform for a secure grip with low-profile carry. Deep scallops near the ricasso allow for modified grips. An attached paracord lanyard gives added security during use.

Sheath: Carries via a MOLLE compatible nylon sheath.

CPM-S45VN: An evolution in Crucible's S30-series, S45VN shows improved edge retention and corrosion resistance relative to S35VN and offers an upgrade to Elmax with better hardness, corrosion resistance, toughness, and sharpness with similar edge retention.
