The Spyderco Kapara C241CFP is an Alistair Phillips design originally designed as a folding food prep and utility folder. Spyderco has now added this custom design to their catalog bringing this custom design to the masses. Based on his original Redback, the Kapara is super slim with clean lines and an elegant design. Featuring a thin, flat ground blade this knife makes for an exceptional slicer and the semi-open back construction with signature "Red Back" spacer and handsome carbon fiber scale keep the weight to a minimum. Throw in a strong Spyderco Compression lock alongside round hole opening and you have the makings of a Spyderco classic.

Blade: The slim CPM-S30V blade works great for utility and food prep tasks thanks to its full flat grind. The large Spyderco hole opener allows for multiple deployment options and easy, ambidextrous operation. Comes satin finished with a razor sharp edge.

Handle: Stainless steel liners support contoured Carbon Fiber handle scales in a semi-open back construction with a small red G10 back spacer at the rear. The Compression Lock mechanism is more than strong enough for secure use and is smooth and simple in operation. A generous hole is provided for lanyard attachment. Comes with a discreet stainless steel wire pocket clip which can be set up for secure right or left-hand, tip-up carry.

CPM-S30V: A powdered stainless steel with high levels of edge retention and corrosion resistance S30V was developed specifically for use in knife blades. The powdered process gives it a very refined grain, improving the sharpness and toughness. S30V is a great, all around steel with high levels of performance.
