The Spyderco Cat was short-lived in its first outing, but we're hoping this second rendition will have nine lives. The very popular Cat model is back with comfortable textured G10 handles and a flat ground, satin finished CTS BD1N stainless steel blade.

Blade: Made from American, CTS-BD1N Nitrogen stainless steel is delivered in an iconic leaf shaped profile with a full flat grind for excellent piercing and slicing performance. Ambidextrous opening is smooth and easy thanks to the Spyderco Round Hole opener and nylon washer pivot. Smooth thumb ramp and index finger choil work together to provide a secure and controlled cutting experience.

Handle: The blade locks solidly with a Michael Walker liner lock and can be easily released with one-hand while the stainless liner construction supports high traction black G10 handle scales. An open back construction makes for easy cleaning and maintenance. The finger choil offers a very comfortable grip on this small and useful companion with construction completed with stainless Torx hardware lanyard tube.

Carries via a reversible, tip-up only, stainless steel wire deep carry clip.

CTS-BD1N: BD1N is a high Carbon, high Chromium, Nitrogen martensitic stainless steel from Carpenter. Designed as an improvement or evolution of CTS-BD1, BD1N has higher working hardness, up to 63HRC, while retaining good toughness and edge stability. BD1N also has higher amounts of Chromium, Manganese and Silicon in its composition for enhanced performance. CTS-BD1N works well as a knife steel with a fine grain, high corrosion resistance and respectable edge holding ability. At max hardness CTS-BD1N can operate with a 12°-15° per side edge.
