The Spyderco Chaparral series is a family of dress carry folding knives that are as elegant as they are functional. The smaller size and discreet stainless steel wire pocket clip makes the Chaparral a great everyday carry option for a variety of environments. The Chaparral is a jewel in the Spyderco line up and showcases a variety of premium handle materials. This lightweight version comes with utilitarian, bi-direction textured FRN or Fiberglass-Reinforced Nylon handle scales.

Blade: The Chaparral has a fully flat ground, leaf shaped blade made from CTS-XHP. This blade shape is excellent for slicing and piercing tasks thanks to the fine edge and point. It opens easily via the Spyderco Round Hole.

Handle:  Gray FRN handles offer the security of Spyderco's Bi-Directional Texturing with a reduction in weight and exceptional durability and affordability with inset skeletonized steel liners for a solid feel. A fully accessible Spyderco Round hole and mid-back lock make the Chaparral fully ambidextrous. The chamfered* lock bar is comfortable to operate with smooth operation and solid lockup. *Part of Spyderco's CQI or Constant Quality Improvement program.

CTS-XHP: An ultra-high-carbon steel that was developed to combine the corrosion resistance of 440C and hardness of D2. It offers good hardness with toughness-edge retention balance, both being better than S35VN with easier sharpening. Corrosion resistance is closer to 3V than 440C, making it more of a semi-stainless.
